Ikea bomb tipper still in custody

The 48-year-old woman who is alleged to have made an anonymous phone call to police about a planned terrorist attack on the Ikea furniture warehouse and other shops in Amsterdam’s Zuid-Oost remains in custody, the Volkskrant reports on Monday.

The woman was arrested on May 4.
Amsterdam police chief Bernard Welten said during a debate in the capital on Sunday that the investigation into her claims was continuing. Any judgements on the situation now would be premature, he said.
The hoax call led to a major terror alert and the arrest of seven people, all of whom were later released.
