Royal attack had higher purpose: mediumTuesday 19 May 2009 A medium, who described the Queen's Day attack on the royal family as a collective ritual which would make the world more aware of Jesus, gives courses which are recognised by a number of health insurance companies, Trouw reports on Tuesday. CZ, Aegon, Achmea, Menzi and Ohra will all pay for treatment by therapists who have been trained by Gabriela Gaastra, the paper says. In a recent newsletter to supporters, Gaastra said she prized the spirituality of Karst Tates, who drove his car into the crowd watching the royal procession, killing seven people. Jesus, Maria and Mary Magdalene had told her this would make the Netherlands a path-finding nation, Trouw quoted her as saying. The seven who died had given their lives for the good cause and would be seen as true knights, she wrote. Their choice to die was deliberate, even though they were not aware of that fact. Paid therapy Gaastra is recognised as a trainer by the Dutch association of natural medicine therapists and many insurance companies will pay for treatment by therapists she has trained. 'We do not get involved with the contents of the courses followed by alternative therapists,' a spokesman for Menzis told the paper. A spokesman for CZ said the insurance company paid for alternative therapies because there is demand. CZ will join forces with professional associations as long as they meet certain standards of expertise, he told Trouw. The natural medicine therapists association said it would discuss the issue but pointed out that Gaastra 'means well' and that 'everyone is free to create their own world view'. © DutchNews.nl
It's curious how every nation pretends to be a "path-finding nation". And insurance companies should be mindful to what their clients spend money to. By Strannik | May 19, 2009 3:31 PM So let me get this right, Gaastra praises someone who kills 7 innocent people and says this is for Jesus. That for me is enough to ensure that any therapeutic licenses she has to be be cancelled and grounds for perhaps also putting her in a home. I wonder what the victim's family thinks of her comment? By Solkhar | May 19, 2009 3:35 PM If I was a relative of one of the deceased, I'd be really offended that anyone printed the ramblings of such a crackpot. 'Their choice to die was deliberate' ??? More real news please? I'm sure todays roundup of stolten bikes or cars-in-ditches is far more newsworthy than this tripe. By osita | May 19, 2009 4:44 PM Perhaps Gaastra and followers would like to be included, in the Law Suit that is being filed. Senseless "killing", of innocents is not a gift or present for anybody We live in a SICK world sometimes... By lb | May 19, 2009 9:34 PM This alternative therapist who claims to have a spiritual hot line to Jesus, Mary and Magdalene, well no comments. But suffice to say, that Its very convenient for this ‘business entertainer in question’ who made the séance call to the other-side especially after rather than before the sad and tragic event, because otherwise six (plus one) innocent lives would have been saved for more time on this planet earth. Please do not insult our public intelligence. By Small Brother | May 19, 2009 9:53 PM I'm sure that Gaastra 'means well'... but so did Pol Pot. This issue is of supreme and infinite bollocks. And when you need antibiotics you get paracetamol. What a country... By Juan | May 20, 2009 8:17 AM What a load of crock.. this person must of accidently taken some psychiatic pills or something! what a world are we living in now !
In 21 century one call death of human being to "have higher purpose". Then what purpose has Mexican swine flu? . It is time those religious guys find a better way to get their messages across.Every religion under the sun teach love and life. But they always for got about those two strong words of religion. The same doctrine is being preached by the "MOST WANTED MAN" in the world. Those us who doesn't share the same idea as the MOST WANTED MAN should just condemn this doctrine. I support free speech but i respect and cherish life !!!!
