Alternative therapists ditch royal row medium

The Dutch association of alternative medicine practitioners has broken ties with the medium Gabriela Gaastra, who claimed last month’s attack on the royal family has a ‘higher aim’, Trouw reports.

Gaastra had been approved by the VNT to train therapists and her courses were recognised by a number of major insurance companies.
A spokesman for the VNT, which has 700 members, said it was not aware Gaastra was a medium. Her courses all revolved around revelations by Mary, Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
‘It is now clear we were not critical enough about the content of the courses. We really regret this,’ the spokesman told Trouw.
Gaastra described the Queen’s Day attack on the royal family as a collective ritual which would make the world more aware of Jesus and said she prized the spirituality of Karst Tates, who drove his car into the crowd watching the royal procession, killing seven people.
