ABN Amro claims 60 Reijtenbagh works

ABN Amro has made a legal claim for more than 60 items from the art collection of Dutch investor Louis Reijtenbagh, the Volkskrant reports on Friday.
The collection, held in a vault in The Hague and Reijtenbagh's house in the Belgian border town of Brasschaat, include works by Albert Cuyp, Karel Appel and Henry Moore.
The paper bases its claims on New York court documents, which show Reijtenbagh's collection is much bigger than originally thought.
ABN Amro wants €50m from Reijtenbagh who has been hard hit by the financial crisis and accused of fraud. US bank JPMorgan Chase is claiming $32m.
The documents show that the two banks are in dispute about number of pieces, including a 1886 Van Gogh, vase with chrysanthemums, which no-one knew he owned, the paper says. Another disputed painting is a self portrait of Rembrandt.
