EU elections: 70% know nothing

Seven out of 10 Dutch voters do not know there will be elections for the European parliament on June 4, according to the latest Politieke Barometer poll. In March eight out of 10 were unaware of the vote.

The latest poll also shows 61% of the population would like to have a strong leader. Only supporters of left wing green party GroenLinks are opposed.
And while 68% of the supporters of Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam party PVV think a politician should be able to say exactly what he likes, only 10% of those voting for the orthodox Christian Party ChristenUnie think the same.
