Privacy watchdog probes online quiz firm

The use of personal data relating to 2.2 million people by the Hilversum-based interactive marketing company Advance is to be investigated by the government's privacy watchdog CPB, reports the Volkskrant.
The trade in sensitive personal data by companies such as Advance is becoming increasingly controversial, the paper says.
Advance collects personal and often intimate information via website questionnaires which are often linked to SBS and RTL tv shows, the paper says.
The Volkskrant claims test results on sexual behaviour, filled in by 60,000 men, were made available to Pfizer which makes Viagra.
A spokeswoman for Advance told the paper it is not doing anything illegal and does not fear the CPB investigation.

This sort of thing is happening a lot more often - and will continue unless people stand against it. In the UK mobile phone firms are starting to sell the browsing habits of their customers.
While they can keep getting away with it - they will keep doing it.
