Convicted paedophile list on internetMonday 09 February 2009 A website containing the photographs and addresses of convicted paedophiles breaks Dutch privacy rules but will be hard to close down because it is registered in the US, lawyers said on Monday. The site, which carries the details of 17 paedophiles, has already led to one house being attacked. The site was set up by the anti-paedophile organisation Stop Kindersex. One man on the list, who is at home waiting to be told to report to jail, has taken out an injunction to get his photograph removed from the site. 'Citizens are taking matters into their own hands and looking for paedophiles...' said lawyer Frank van Ardenne in the AD. 'Of course children should be protected but there are other measures to do this.' Yvonne van Hertum of the Stop Kindersex organisation said the site calls on visitors not to use violence. 'But it is an extra defence. People can see if a neighbour is included.' The pro-paedophilia politicial party PNVD (which does not have an MP) has also called on the police to take action against the site, the Volkskrant reports on Monday. The website is a witch-hunt against people who have served their sentences, incites hate and breaks privacy legislation, the PNVD says. PNVD treasurer Ad van den Berg is listed on the site. i'm not supporting the pro-paedophilia party but their point is that paedophilia doesn't necessarily imply raping or molesting ...
