Inflation down again

Thursday 08 January 2009

Inflation dropped again in December to 1.9%, national statistics agency CBS announced on Thursday. It is the fourth month in a row that inflation has fallen.

Most of the fall comes from a drop in energy prices, down 17% from a year ago, says the CBS.

The average inflation rate over the whole of 2008 was 2.5%.
