At the time that extra tax this was announced I said that this would cost Schiphol Airport dearly. At the time the Dutch government said that they did not care and admitted that the tax had nothing to do with 'Green' issues. My company has now re-routed all of its staff who used to use Schiphol to other airports as the cost of using Schiphol was to expensive.
The enforcement of the Smoking ban has not helped either!
