Five Dutch people book space trip

Friday 21 November 2008

Five Dutch people have bought a ticket for a flight into space in 2010, the Volkskrant reports. The five will fly with Virgin Galactic, the space travel company set up by British businessman Richard Branson.

Tickets cost between €80,000 and €160,000 in return for which the passengers will be flown beyond the atmosphere and experience six minutes of weightlessness.

The flight will last 2.5 hours. The identities of the Dutch travellers were not disclosed.
