Tsvangirai leaves Dutch embassy in Harare
Tuesday 01 July 2008
Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai left the Dutch embassy in Harare on Monday, eight days after first seeking refuge there, aid minister Bert Koenders said.
The situation in Zimbabwe is much calmer following the swearing-in of president Robert Mugabe and his departure for the African summit in Egypt, Koenders said.
Tsvangirai went to the embassy shortly after pulling out of the presidential race. He left for a short period to give a news conference.
