Journalists’ phones may be tapped
The Supreme Court has ruled that the Dutch secret service (AIVD) may tap journalists’ telephones, news agency ANP reports on Friday.
ANP says the highest legal body in the Netherlands has upheld a 2006 ruling by lower court in a case between the Telegraaf newspaper and the government. The newspaper took the government to court after the AIVD tapped the phones of two of its journalists.
