DSM books record Q2 results

Chemicals concern DSM has raised its profit forecast for the current year after announcing record second quarter results on Tuesday.
The company said it booked net profit of €193m for the second quarter, a four-fold increase on the same period last year. Turnover grew 11% to €2.4bn in the same period, said DSM.
The results exceeded analysts’ expectations said ANP news service.
DSM said it now expects operating results from ordinary activities to reach around €970m this year.
The company said it benefited from a growing demand for vitamins in the last quarter.
