Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov has bought some €400 million worth of new shares issued by financial services group Fortis, the Wall Street Journal reports, quoting sources.
Kerimov made the investment through his Swiss investment fund Millenium Group, which already owned 2% of the company, the paper says.
Last week, Fortis announced it was taking €8bn-worth of measures to boost its balance sheet.
