Dutch embassy in Pakistan moves for security
Friday 18 April 2008
The Netherlands has moved its embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan to a hotel due to security concerns following the release of MP Geert Wilder's anti-Koran film, an embassy spokeswoman told Reuters news agency on Thursday.
'We didn’t feel safe in that building for the time being, so we decided to shift temporarily,' the embassy was quoted as saying.
The film, released on the internet at the end of February, has drawn protests from Islamic countries, including Pakistan.
