Wilders' film dominates front pages

The launch of MP Geert Wilders' 16-minute film Fitna dominates the Dutch newspaper front pages on Friday, several of which use photographs of the Binnenhof parliamentary complex closed off by police barriers.
'Wasn't it a lot of panic about nothing?' asks free newspaper Spits, pointing out that the film is nothing more than a rehash of Wilders' known views.
'Relief about mild Fitna,' is the Volkskrant's headline. 'Calm reception for Fitna,' says the AD, while nrc.next describes the project as a 'compilation documentary which could have been tougher'.
In its editorial, the Volkskrant describes Fitna as 'a propaganda film in line with the style used by radical and totalitarian regimes to set people against people'.
The AD's film reviewer gives Fitna one star: 'Film-wise it is nothing more than a cut-and-paste job, a cheap effort which would not win you a place at the film academy'.
And weblog GeenStijl, known for its no-holds barred comments, says the film is 'extremely disappointing'.

In case you haven't noticed Mr. Wilders is a politician not a director and it was supposed to send out a message in the simplest form, not a blockbuster hit.
I would argue as well that, maybe not the brightest nor flashiest film it gets the job done with minimal resources...
