Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation has taken over the Dutch financial news service Betten Financial News as part of a global expansion of its Dow Jones Newswires operation, reports Reuters news agency.

No financial details were disclosed.

Betten covers real-time financial and economic news in Dutch.
