TomTom doubles sales in 2007

TomTom sold 9.6 million satellite navigation systems last year, 104% more than in 2006. Total turnover went up 27% to €1.7bn while net earnings rose 43% to €317m.
The company expects to sell between 14 million and 15 million systems this year, taking sales up to around €2bn.
TomTom says the market for satnav systems is set to grow 40% in Europe and 80% in the US this year.
