Royal award for Hans van Manen

Choreographer Hans van Manen was inducted as Commander of the Order of the Netherlands Lion on Tuesday night after the first performance of a series of his works celebrating his recent 75th birthday.

The presentation was made on stage at the Muziektheater in Amsterdam by mayor Job Cohen. The award is made to people of exceptional merit.
