Cycling to music under investigation

Transport minister Camiel Eurlings has commissioned research into the dangers presented by listening to music while riding a bike.

The Dutch road safety group VNN says using an ipod or MP3 player while cycling is extremely dangerous, but that a ban would be unenforceable.

A ban on phoning while cycling was ruled out for the same reason last year.
