Dutch soldier killed in Afghanistan
A 33-year-old Dutch soldier has been killed in Afghanistan in an accident involving an armoured vehicle, the defence ministry said on Friday afternoon. The accident happened during a river crossing by a patrol 3.5 km north of the Dutch base in Tarin Kowt.
In total, five Dutch soldiers have died in Afghanistan: one commited suicide, the rest were involved in accidents.
