Police and UPC in anti-porn deal

The national police force KLPD and cable company UPC have reached a deal on blocking websites which carry child pornography. The KLPD has drawn up a blacklist of sites for internet service providers.

They will block access to the sites but will not register who is trying to visit them. The project is based on a Norwegian initiative. KLPD is still in talks with other ISPs on extending the scheme.
