Sligro CEO voted employers Man of the Year

Abel Slippens, CEO of food concern Sligro, is the business community’s Top Man of the Year, reports Wednesday’s Financieele Dagblad. The value of Sligro’s shares has increased almost 17-fold since Slippens took over the reins in 1989.
The jury said the secret of his success is ‘a consistent takeover strategy’. He was awarded the prize by the employers’ association VNO-NCW chairman Bernard Weintjes.
