A man wanted by Scottish police and the National Crime Agency in connection with the discovery of a tonne of cocaine and 28 million Etizolam ‘street valium’ tablets has been arrested out jogging in the Netherlands.

Jamie Stevenson, also known as ‘The Iceman’, was picked up by police, alongside another suspect, according to Omroep Brabant.

He reportedly fled the UK while on bail and has been on the run for 18 months, according to reports in the UK.

He is believed to have been in hiding in Bergen op Zoom, where he was picked up after UK police put out an international appeal to trace 12 people believed to be hiding in Spain.

The 56-year-old was reportedly one of Scotland’s most wanted suspects. The Dutch public prosecutor confirmed that he was arrested on Friday afternoon, and was also a suspect in two arson incidents.

The other suspect was named by the BBC as Dean Ferguson, 28, also wanted by Police Scotland. Both men will be extradited to the UK.
