FC Utrecht 1 v 5 Groningen: Five star Groningen break Eredivisie duck in style

Oussama Idrissi was the star man for Groningen as the visitors hit five to claim a first win of the season.

Idrissi opened the scoring on 15 minutes before doubling the lead on half time with a stunning curling effort.

Ex­-Groningen striker Richairo Zivkovic hit back for Utrecht on the hour mark but Danny Hoesen restored the Groningen advantage 6 minutes later.

And Tom van Weert and Hoesen piled the misery onto Utrecht in the closing stages leaving the hosts claiming an unwanted club record of losing five consecutive home games.

Twente 4 v 1 ADO Den Haag: Enes Unal stars for Twente

Manchester City loanee Enes Unal hit a double as Twente claimed a comfortable home win against ADO.

Unal gave the hosts the lead with a stunning free kick on the quarter hour before heading home a Kamohelo Mokotjo cross after 35 minutes.

ADO pushed forward in the second half but were hit with a sucker punch as fellow City loanee Bersant Celina got on the scoresheet.

Kevin Janssen replied for ADO in the closing stages but Twente had the last word as Mokotjo tapped home a fourth goal for the home side.

Roda JC 0 v 3 Heerenveen: Ten man Heerenveen win from nine man Roda

Roda await a first win of the 2016/17 Eredivisie as Heerenveen left Kerkrade with all the points.

Sam Larsson gave the visitors the lead with a free kick before Roda were reduced to nine men before the break as Abdul Ajagun and Chris Kum both received two yellow cards.

Heerenveen doubled the lead as a Frederic Ananou effort deflected off teammate Henk Veerman before Arber Zeneli turned in the box to put the game beyond the hosts.

Shay Facey was cautioned for a second time, one of eleven yellow cards in the game, as Heerenveen were reduced to ten men, but the visitors held on comfortably to continue a strong start to the season.

Vitesse Arnhem 2 v 0 Go Ahead Eagles: Vitesse back on track with home win

Vitesse ended a seven month run without a home win against a disappointing Go Ahead in Arnhem.

With the visitors happy to soak up any Vitesse pressure the sides went into the break all square.

A second half Ricky van Wolfswinkel penalty after 76 minutes finally broke the deadlock in a dull affair, before a

Nathan half volley settled proceedings for Vitesse just two minutes later.

Willem II 1 v 1 Excelsior: Two points dropped for Willem II

Substitute Hicham Faik scored from an 80th minute free kick as Excelsior denied Willem II a much needed win.

Spanish striker Fran Sol had given the hosts a sixth minute lead, heading home a pinpoint Dico Koppers cross.

However, Willem II were punished for a poor second half performance as Faik fired home for Excelsior with his first touch of the game ten minutes from time.

Sparta 2 v 0 NEC Nijmegen: Promoted Sparta move into top half after comfortable home win

Thomas Verhaar, in his first start of the season, repaid manager Alex Pastor with a 17 minute opener for the hosts.

Andre Fomitschow came close to an equaliser for NEC but saw his shot rebound back from off the crossbar.

PEC Zwolle 0 v 2 AZ Alkmaar: Four wins in a row for AZ

It was a day to remember in Zwolle for teenager Guus Til as the 18 year old debutant scored in the 87th minute to seal all the points for AZ against struggling PEC.

Striker Wout Weghorst gave the hosts a late first half lead after PEC keeper Mickey van der Hart failed to deal with a Joris van Overeem effort.

And Weghorst was on hand to set up teenager Til who fired home into the far corner to leave PEC Zwolle firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.

PSV Eindhoven 0 v 1 Feyenoord: Botteghin fires Feyenoord five points clear of PSV

Feyenoord crowned a sensational week by beating reigning champions PSV in Eindhoven.

An 80th minute Eric Botteghin goal was enough to move Feyenoord clear at the top of the table just three days after claiming a Europa League victory against Manchester United.

PSV captain Luuk de Jong failed to convert two headed chances in a first half in which the home side failed to capitalise on its superiority.

Nicolai Jorgensen came closest for the visitors in a sporidic foray forward for the Rotterdammers.

PSV continued to dominate possession without threatening Brad Jones in the Feyenoord goal, and the home side were made to pay when Brazilian defender Botteghin volleyed home an 82nd minute Bilal Basacikoglu corner to stun the champions.

Heracles Almelo 0 v 2 Ajax: Unimpressive Ajax win in Almelo

Ajax left Almelo with all the spoils but failed to impress in a tight 2­0 win.

Second half goals from captain Davy Klaassen and Nemanja Gudelj sealed the win for the visitors in a difficult afternoon at the Polman stadium.

Ex­Ajacied Lerin Duarte came closest to opening the scoring for Heracles while the hosts were denied what looked a penalty after Mitchell Dijks appeared to handle in the box.

Ajax boss Peter Bosz raised some eyebrows as he substituted Hakim Ziyech for Kasper Dolberg after 64 minutes, yet Ajax continued to struggle until a slip from Heracles defender Tim Breukers gave Klaassen the chance to open the scoring on 66 minutes.

And ten minutes later Nemanja Gudelj rounded off a swift counter attack to seal the game and move the Amsterdammers onto level points with PSV in second place.
