ADO Den Haag 0 v 3 Heerenveen: Visitors overpower ADO in Den Haag

Heerenveen continued a fine start to the season with a comfortable win against ADO.

A first half own goal from Wilfried Kanon gave the away side a deserved lead, and while Heerenveen dominated throughout the Frisians left it late to put the game beyond ADO.

Two goals in the final 12 minutes, from Aber Zaneli and substitute Henk Veerman condemned ADO to a third defeat in three games.

Groningen 0 v 0 Heracles Almelo: Search for home win continues for Groningen

After a poor first half Groningen pressed for a first home win of the season but failed to break through a stubborn Heracles defence.

Bryan Linssen came closest to breaking the deadlock for the hosts, however the former Heracles attacker failed to find the target leaving Groningen without a home win in four games at the Euroborg.

Ajax 5 v 1 PEC Zwolle: Second half Ajax blitz leaves PEC in trouble

Ajax recovered from an early PEC strike to take all the points in Amsterdam.

Wout Brama gave the struggling visitors an unexpected early lead after four minutes but failed to build on the advantage as both Queensy Menig and Ted van de Pavert were denied by Ajax keeper André Onana.

The hosts hit back from two corners before the break with Davinson Sanchez capitalising on slack defending to head home a brace.

And Ajax ran away with the game with three goals in nine second half minutes as a Kasper Dolberg double and a Bertrand Traore strike sealed an easy win for the Amsterdammers.

AZ Alkmaar 2 v 2 Go Ahead Eagles: Go Ahead fight back to claim point in Alkmaar

Go Ahead Eagles fought back from two down to earn an unexpected point at AZ.

Goals from Derrick Luckassen and a Wout Weghorst penalty gave the hosts what seemed an unassailable lead.

However, the Eagles hit back with a 66th minute Sander Duits strike before claiming a point with an 87th minute Sam Hendriks equaliser.

Excelsior 1 v 3 PSV Eindhoven: Champions struggle past stubborn Excelsior

PSV set a new Eredivisie record of 13 consecutive away wins but the champions did not have it all its own way at Excelsior.

Gaston Pereiro and Davy Propper both missed the opportunity to give the visitors a lead before Luciano Narsingh opened the scoring after a one­two with Bart Ramselaar.

Excelsior hit back from the penalty spot through Luigi Bruins after Jetro Willems was penalised for a foul on Kevin Vermeulen.

PSV captain Luuk de Jong headed home a Andres Guardado free kick to restore the lead before the break, and the visitors eventually put the game beyond a spirited Excelsior when Propper scrambled home on 83 minutes.

NEC Nijmegen 0 v 0 Willem II: Scoreless in Nijmegen

NEC claimed a point after three defeats in a row with a scoreless draw at the Goffertstadion.

Dario Dumic came closest for NAC in a tight opening period when striking a post from range.

Willem II began the second half with more attacking purpose and the Tilburgers should have taken a lead through Erik Falkenburg whose close range effort ricocheted wide off teammate Fran Sol.

The best chance of the game fell to Taiwo Awoniyi but the NEC striker was thwarted by Willem II keeper Kostas Lamprou.

Twente 2 v 1 Vitesse Arnhem: Third home win in a row for resurgent Twente

Goals in each half from Enes Unal and Bersant Celina were enough for Twente to claim all three points in Enschede.

Unal gave the hosts a 16th minute lead after a run and cross from Dejan Trajkovski left the Man City loanee to tap home from close range.

Vitesse, that lost Milot Rashica, Adnane Tighadouini en Maikel van der Werff to injury, failed to trouble the Twente defence and the hosts doubled the lead through Celina on 85 minutes.

A superb long distance Lewis Baker effort in injury time proved to be no more than a consolation for the visitors.

Utrecht 2 v 0 Sparta: Utrecht finally secure opening victory

Utrecht ran out comfortable winners at Stadion Galgenwaard as goals from Richairo Zivkovic and Nacer Barazite finally gave the hosts a first win of the season.

Ajax loanee Zivkovic opened the scoring in the 3rd minute latching onto a Sebastien Haller back heel to finish from close range.

Sparta came close to levelling matters through Loris Brogno but the club top scorer failed to find the target just before the break.

The visitors failed to trouble the Utrecht defence in a tame second half, and it was left to Nacer Barazite to wrap up the game and hand the hosts a much needed first victory of the 2016/17 Eredivisie campaign.

Feyenoord 5 v 0 Roda JC: League leaders make no mistake in Rotterdam

Feyenoord made it seven wins from the opening seven games as the Eredivisie leaders strolled to victory at De Kuip.

Striker Nicolai Jorgensen opened proceedings for Feyenoord with a near post shot in the 25th minute.

And the hosts double the advantage when Karim El Ahmadi controlled with his right foot before firing into the top corner with stunning left foot strike.

Feyenoord made the sold out Kuip wait until the closing stages of the game before sealing all the points with three goals in nine minutes.

Jorgensen grabbed his second on 83 minutes, Jens Toornstra made it four after 88 minutes, and defender Terence Kongolo completed the rout with 92 minutes on the clock.
