Dutch royals pose in the snow during skiing holiday

The Dutch royal family posed for their traditional winter holiday photo for the international press on Monday in return for a commitment to leave them alone for the rest of their break.

Today is also two years since prince Friso was hit by an avalanche while skiing off-piste. He died last summer after spending 18 months in a coma.

The royal party was made up of king Willem-Alexander and his family, Friso’s widow Mabel and her children, prince Constantijn and his wife and children and former queen Beatrix.
