Rolling tobacco packets are lighter, not more expensive

Imperial tobacco is reducing the amount of rolling tobacco in a packet from 42.5 grammes to 40 grammes from tomorrow to make up for the increase in taxes, the Telegraaf reports on Monday.

In 2007, a packet of Drum rolling tobacco contained 50 grammes but this has been steadily reduced in line with tax increases.
The price of a packet of 19 Marlboro cigarettes is being increased from €4.80 to €5.20
