Grid operator asks state for €500m

The national grid operator Tennet has asked the treasury for a capital injection of €500m to invest in its high tension networks in the Netherlands and Germany, the Financieele Dagblad reports.

Tennet plans to spend €3bn in the Netherlands and a further €3bn in Germany improving and expanding the grid network over the next seven years.
Tennet bought Eon’s grid network in Germany last November for nearly €1bn.
