A majority of MPs are refusing to debate social affairs ministry plans to bring in a more flexible approach to the pension age, news agency ANP reports on Wednesday.

Social affairs minister Piet Hein Donner wants to bring in measures to allow people to stay on in work past the age of 65 in return for a higher pension.
But MPs say they do not want to deal with the draft legislation until unions and employers have had their say about the minister’s other plan to increase the overall pension age. That report is due on October 1.
