ChristenUnie defends minority rights

The anti-Islam party PVV and Liberal party VVD are too ‘easy and populist’ in the way they use the term ‘Jewish-Christian values’, says André Rouvoet, leader of the orthodox ChristenUnie party.


Speaking in Utrecht, Rouvoet said those who used this terminology to shut out others had little understanding of its true meaning.
The parties are using the term to attack others’ identity, take away their freedoms and, in effect, shut them out of public life, Nos tv quoted Rouvoet as saying.
