The entire supervisory board at Kerkrade football club Roda JC resigned on Wednesday following the collapse of the planned merger between Roda and nearby club Fortuna Sittard.

The board had been fully behind the merger, which fell apart when Limburg provincial council withdrew its earlier-pledged funding.
Premier division club Roda is currently third from bottom of the league and facing relegation.
