Mega cocaine smuggling ring smashed

Military police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport have arrested 10 people, including seven workers at the airport, suspected of importing at least 28 kilograms of cocaine from Suriname, reports ANP news agency on Tuesday.

According to the Telegraaf, which says the police have uncovered a ‘mega coke ring’, the seven airport workers were employed by KLM.
Police have seized a large amount of cash, computers and mobiles phones which they discovered at seven homes which were searched in connection with the drug smuggling investigation.
A team of detectives have been working on the case for almost a year, a police spokesman told ANP.
