Christie’s to auction queen’s horse head

A clay model of a horse’s head made by queen Beatrix when she was 10-years-old and signed ‘Trix 48’ is being sold by Christie’s auction house in Amsterdam.

Christie’s declined to say how it had come by the terracotta sculpture. ‘The original owner wants to remain anonymous. But you often see this sort of thing in an inheritance which is being divided up,’ a spokesman told Nos tv.
The sculpture has an online catalogue price of €2,400 to €2,800. The European Nobel and Private Collection sale takes place on March 31 and April 1.
