Bike maker Accell profits rise 17%
Bike maker Accell, which produces the Batavus and Sparta bicycles, booked a 17% increase in net profit last year, at €28.6m. Sales were up 13% at €538m.
The company said it expects a further increase in sales and earnings given the current economic situation. Accell is benefiting from increased focus on health, the environment and mobility, CEO René Takens said in a statement.
