TomTom bids for digital map maker
Car satellite navigation system maker TomTom has made a €2bn takeover offer for digital map maker Tele Atlas.
TomTom is offering €21.25 a share, a 22% premium on Friday’s close. Tele Atlas was floated in 2005 at €18.50. The map maker’s management and supervisory board back the deal.
