Stop the nannying, says VVD leader

Liberal party (VVD) leader Mark Rutte is calling for a ‘ignore agreement’ which would consist of areas in which the government will not interfer, according to Monday’s Volkskrant.

Rutte thinks the move is necessary to stop the development of a nanny state. In the paper he pours scorn on coalition plans to screen all children for possible risk factors.
He also wants an end to the culture of distrust that hinders companies and citizens when filling in official forms.
