Arnhem referendum turnout too low

Only 10.33% of the electorate took part in yesterday’s vote on plans to revamp Arnhem’s river frontage and build a harbour.


Voters were given three options to chose from; the variant involving building sluice gates was most popular. However, the poor turnout means the vote is not binding on the city council.
