Students invent powdered alcoholic drink

Five food technology students from Boxtel have developed a powdered alcoholic drink. Just add water to Booz 2, as they’ve called it, and the powder becomes a 3% alcoholic beverage.

Team leader Rob van Veldhoven says that the challenge they had been set was to come up with a technological stunt that would be mass-marketable.
Research conducted by the mbo-students among their peers suggested it would be a popular product, thanks to its novelty and ease of transport.
Along with a second product, Booz&ice, the students hope to put the powdered hooch into production. An unnamed company that had helped them create the stuff has expressed interest.
