UPC will not block Pirate Bay either

Cable company UPC will not stop subscribers accessing file-sharing service The Pirate Bay, despite calls from a copyright lobby group for it to do so, a spokesman has told news agency ANP.
As an 'independent and neutral party', UPC does not wish to have any role in blocking access to websites, the spokesman said. 'So we are not going to honour requests from private organisations.'
Authors' rights lobby group Stichting Brein had urged KPN, UPC and other internet providers to block The Pirate Bay after a court ordered XS4All and Ziggo to do so earlier this month.
KPN said earlier this week it will wait for the XS4All appeal before taking a decision. XS4All is owned by KPN. T-Mobile has not yet taken a decision.
Both Ziggo and XS4All will stop The Pirate Bay from reaching their subscribers on February 1.

UPC are just about the worst company ever, but good on them for this stance, even though it's undoubtedly because they know they'll lose custom if they try to ban PB.
