Video: thieves caught on camera stealing €100,000 in bikes

Thieves have stolen an estimated €100,000 worth of racing and mountain bikes from a specialist shop in Udenhout near Tilburg, by picking up several at a time and carrying them down the stairs.

The theft was captured on the shop’s security camera and shows the thieves rushing into the shop and grabbing the bikes, then repeating the action twice more. In total they made off with 29 bikes costing between €3,000 and €7,000 each.

Shop owner Frank Verschuren told the Telegraaf the thieves must have cased the shop before the break-in because they made straight for the most expensive bikes.

Even though the shop alarm sounded and the police used a helicopter to try to track the thieves, they apparently got away with their haul.
