Once again, restaurant De Librije in Zwolle is the best place to eat in the Netherlands, according to the jury of foodie magazine Lekker.

De Librije has knocked Inter Scaldes in the Zeeland village of Kruiningen off the top spot in the Lekker500 list for the second time – after taking over the top spot in 2015 as well.

Number 3 on the list is Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam, followed by De Leest in Vaassen – a village between Zwolle and Apeldoorn which was third in 2016.

Lekker magazine draws up a list of the best 500 places to eat in the Netherlands every year. This year, for example, both Rotterdam and Amsterdam have two restaurants in the top 10 but Amsterdam has 15 in the top 100.
