Six arrested in drug raids on 13 homes in Brabant

Police in Brabant have carried out a series of drugs busts aimed at breaking the southern province’s illegal cannabis production network.

Six people were arrested in raids on 13 addresses in Tilburg, Eindhoven, Goirle and Kaatsheuvel. A spokesman said 150 police officers were involved altogether.

A police spokesman said officers were searching for guns, explosives and evidence of money laundering as well as drugs.

The six suspects comprised four women and two men, aged between 35 and 52, according to Omroep Brabant. Some of them were already known to the police.
