Mora mistakes: veggie spring rolls with ham and chicken

Spring rolls with prawn and vegetables

Dutch supermarkets are removing a consignment of Mora vegetarian spring rolls from their shelves after it turned out they were meat products which had been wrongly labeled.

A ‘small number’ of ham and chicken spring rolls had been put in the vegetarian packaging and shipped to stores, Mora said. The spring rolls also contain soya but are not labeled as such either.

‘The product is not suitable for people with a soya-free or vegetarian diet,’ Mora said.

The company said it is taking steps to make sure similar errors don’t happen in the future. People who have purchased spring rolls with the code 7213 can return them to the store where they bought them.
