Dutch defence ministry mega-order for truck maker Scania
Truck manufacturer Scania has received its largest-ever order from the Dutch defense ministry, the Telegraaf reported.
The Dutch arm of the Swedish vehicle group is to build 2,073 new trucks for various parts of the Dutch armed forces. Scania also received the order for maintenance of the vehicles. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Scania said the order would provide a strong impulse to employment in Zwolle where the trucks will be built. The trucks of various sizes will roll out starting next year and continue into 2022.
