One of three Dutch nationals who were injured in the terror attack in Barcelona has been discharged from hospital.

The man was among 100 people who were hurt when a van was driven into a crowd of people on Ramblas, one of the Catalan city’s best-known shopping boulevards.

The death toll has risen to 15 after the body of a man was found in a car which police believe was used by the van driver as a getaway vehicle. The man had been stabbed.

Two Dutch women are still being treated, but ANP reported that their condition was improving. Their families hope to be able to welcome them home by the weekend.

Police said the suspected van driver, Youssef Abouyaaqoub, was still on the run and described him as armed and dangerous.
