Nearly a million Easter tourists set to come to the Netherlands
Almost a million foreign tourists are set to arrive in the Netherlands for the Easter weekend, the national tourist board said on Thursday.
In addition, 500,000 Dutch nationals will head off on holiday during the long weekend, most of whom will stay in the Netherlands, the NBTC said.
Some 65% of the foreign visitors will come from Germany. In particular, the bulb fields will be a big draw in the coming weeks, but Amsterdam’s museums are also gearing up for large crowds.
The weather, however, will be mixed, with showers and sunny spells. The temperature will be no warmer than 12 degrees, the KNMI weather bureau said.
