Dutch government ‘fears Air France’s hold over KLM’
The Dutch government is opposing the nomination of Air France KLM chairman Jean-Marc Janaillac to a seat on the supervisory board of KLM, the Telegraaf said on Friday.
Junior infrastructure minister Sharon Dijksma told parliament that the government did not favour having the chairman of the combined airline group sit on the board of KLM.
Dijksma, who was confirming an earlier statement by finance minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem has a meeting with Janaillac in Paris on Monday, the paper said.
The Dutch government has a 5.9% stake in KLM.
