Sales of Dutch music in other countries have fallen for the first time in more than a decade, according to industry figures.

The total export value in 2015 was €183.26 million, compared to €186.6 million the previous year. Since 2004 the figure has risen each year.

The export trade is dominated by dance musicians and DJs such as Armin van Buuren (pictured), who account for 69% of the total.

The figures were compiled by industry organisation Buma Cultuur and presented at the weekend at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen. DJ R3hab was the most popular Dutch artist abroad in 2015, with 151 shows, followed by Chuckie and W&W.
