Sharp rise in November bankruptcy rate

The number of bankruptcies increased significantly in November, compared to October, according to national statistics office CBS. In November, 461 companies were declared bankrupt, which is 106 more than in the previous month

The highest number of bankruptcies involved financial service firms. They accounted for 117 of the firms going bust.

Trading companies accounted for the second highest number of bankruptcies, with 76 firms going out of business. In the transport and storage sector 42 firms closed down.
